Don’t Make it “Work” – Go With The Flow

I’ve been experimenting with various mug handles just to continue my technical skills. I’ve tried to think about comfort and how it feels with the final piece. I’m finding that for now, the process of design is a non-planned meandering of playing, unless I have a commission or specific need.

Going with the flow keeps my creative sessions fresh. Perhaps it’s an excuse, but I don’t want this hobby to become a strict and structured work flow.. otherwise.. it’s just work. I’ve also found some freedom in the process of throwing off the hump. It’s a fast and effective process that lets the work take shape as I develop the pieces.

Thought I share some fun I’ve had below. Happy Labor day to all!
