Logo Mugs For My Cyber-cubicle Buddies

DSC_0001

Been busy this winter, and hadn’t had much time to post.

I thought I’d make some functional pieces to send to my co-workers. I had a stamp made, and decided to showpiece the mud by keeping the logo area rough and cracked. The first one is glazed with a “Boysenberry”. The rest shows how this recipe for Celadon behaves dependent on where in the kiln the piece is. All are on the same clay body, but there’s a difference in the deepness of the green. The insides and lips are a Dinnerset White with varying dips over the Celadon. I sorta like the “crazing” (crackles), on the Celadon glaze, as well.

I’m hoping these will be put to good use, knowing the schedules of the staff at the magazine.
